![]() ![]() Designated a Naval Flight Officer in 1969, he was assigned to VMAT(AW)-202 and VMA(AW)-224 at MCAS Cherry Point, NC. He was commissioned a 2ndLT in Jan 1968, completed The Basic School, and was assigned to the Naval Air Training Command in Pensacola, FL. Randy enlisted in the Marine Corps in Oct 1966, completed recruit training at MCRD, Parris Island, and achieved the enlisted rank of sergeant. The Governor of Virginia’s Committee on Veteran’s Affairs, The Outdoor Veteran’s Fund Partnered with PVA, and is an ordained lay minister currently serving as the bi-vocational pastor at Orlean Baptist Church in Orlean, VA. Randy was a member of the White House Commission on Remembrance. In addition, he serves on the Board of the Museum of Americans in Wartime, and the Oakview National Bank in Marshall, VA. where he serves as a consultant and adviser to industry, DoD and Congress, on matters of National Security and Policy. He is currently the President / CEO of Robison International, Inc., Wash D.C. Randy West was elected Chairman of the Patriots 4 Board of Directors in 2018. However, if P4 can play some small role in saying “thank you” for our freedom, albeit a small piece, we will honor them in the best way we know how! P4’s focus is about recognizing and giving back to the men and women whose sacrifices in the name of freedom can never truly ever be repaid. These challenges may include receiving assistance in building wheel chair ramps, finding a handicapped accessible vehicle, doing needed repairs in the home, identifying VA resources, VA benefits applications, finding professional counseling, etc.įour: To provide an annual scholarship to help a son or daughter of a wounded vet attend college or pursue a trade school education. Three: To provide an atmosphere for sharing and encouraging that may assist in opening doors to help wounded veterans in identifying resources to navigate other challenging issues with which they may be faced. This is accomplished through adaptive equipment and guides/callers. Two: To provide a place for mobility impaired wounded veterans to continue to enjoy the great outdoors regardless of disability. It is our objective to help bridge the gap from military service to the enjoyment of the freedoms that they fought so courageously to defend.One: To honor our nation’s wounded veterans (and their families) who have sacrificed so much in the name of freedom. ![]() For those that return home, often with the never fading scars of their conquests, SOWW exists to demonstrate our Country’s appreciation for their efforts and contributions. These men and women pay not only a physical and mental price during their service to our Country some have paid the ultimate price, for their fellow man. SOWW feels that there is not a more deserving group of individuals than our Special Operation Forces members that frequently stand in harm’s way for the protection of our freedoms, often with little or no recognition. It is the belief of SOWW that we truly can make a difference in the life of a service member who has chosen to put their safety at risk while defending our freedoms and that has suffered personal injury in that endeavor. It was started for the intent of offering thanks and fellowship to the men and women of our Special Operation Forces who have sacrificed so greatly for our own personal freedoms and safety. SOWW was founded by five individuals composed of U.S. Military Special Operations Forces, that have received wounds (both seen and unseen) in battle or significant training accidents, most of which that have been awarded our Country’s prestigious Purple Heart Medal. SOWW (Special Operations Wounded Warriors), a 501(c)(3) Charity, was formed in August of 2012 for the distinct purpose of providing outdoor experiences and focused therapeutic retreats to a select group of both active duty and veteran U.S. ![]()
